Sheena Marissa Sinnappah
Sheena graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of London in 1988. She was admitted to the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in August of 1988 and called to the English Bar in 1989. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1990.
Sheena is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in the field of contentious and non-contentious litigation especially in the areas of administrative law, commercial, banking, contractual and construction litigation and in the area of construction arbitration, adjudication pursuant to CIPAA 2012. She also does probate and estate planning work.
Sheena has conducted numerous cases in the Malaysian Courts appearing in the High Court and Appellate Courts and has a number of reported decisions to her credit. Sheena has appeared as Counsel in arbitration proceedings involving disputes arising from construction and engineering contracts including PAM, IEM and JKR standard forms of contracts. Sheena has also handled selected criminal litigation during her tenure of practice.
Valerie Ann Fernando
Valerie graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of London in 1990 and holds the Certificate of Legal Practice (1991) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1992.
Valerie has extensive experience in various non-contentious and contentious civil litigation including contractual, commercial, building & construction, negligence and banking litigation work and appears in the High Court and Appellate Courts. She also has an active probate and estate planning practice.
During her tenure of practice, Valerie has advised on and litigated matters pertaining to the tort of negligence including personal injury actions, wrongful death actions, medical negligence actions; she has also advised on and represented various banks and financial institutions, local government bodies, construction companies, telecommunications companies and multinational corporations.
